I’m concerned about the amount of hair I seem to be shedding whether it’s while washing my hair, bushing it, blow-drying it, or throughout the day. Should I be troubled, and what is the normal amount of hair loss for someone in any given day?

Worry over hair shedding is common and usually not something you should be too concerned about. Many women find hair in the drain or in their hairbrush and get fretful that they are experiencing hair loss instead of normal hair shedding. It’s typical to lose 60-100 strands of hair per day, and depending on the length of your hair this could look like a lot or a little. But rest assured, the loss of strands is a very normal occurrence.
